I have two putters that are nearly identical.   They are Carbite ZG mallets with double bend shafts.  The one I got first was my brother-in-law’s old putter that he gave me.   The head is pretty beat up because he never used a head cover, but I love the look and performance of the putter.  So, I went on Ebay and found one in near new condition and bought it at a very reasonable price.   When it arrived though it had an aluminum double bend shaft and is noticeably lighter than the original with the usual steel shaft.  Needless to say, it doesn’t feel or perform the same.

While I’ve worked on my own clubs for 40 years, I have never removed or replaced a double bend putter shaft.   How difficult would it be to swap out those two shafts with each other?   I have a bench vise, but no other special equipment that might be needed to align the shaft correctly and hold it in place  while the epoxy cures.

I would welcome any suggestions from Jim or Brett or any other members of the forum…….
