Thew Max is the most forgiving and will generally provide more spin. The Pro is a lower spin driver that is still forgiving, but probably not quite as much as the Max. The forgiveness difference is minor and based on the Pro being slightly smaller at 440cc vs 460cc. Of course the settings for any individual player can change the performance characteristics either way, but generally those are the two main differences. The shapes are definitely different, with the Pro being more of what we would call a traditional pear shape.
As far as which is right for what type of golfer, I can only give you generalities because I have seen really good players prefer the MAX in some cases and higher handicaps prefer the Pro. That being said, the majority of the time the Max will be better for players that want a larger profile, need or want more forgiveness and can benefit from more spin. Most of those players would probably be mid to higher handicaps, or even low handicaps that because of their swing need what the Max can offer. The Pro, generally, will be better for stronger player with higher clubhead speeds that struggle spinning it too much and want a more penetrating ball flight. Those players could be pro’s, scratch, to mid handicappers, or even higher if their action produces too much spin.
Maybe not as definitive as you would like, but hopefully provides some guidance.
