Got out for the first time this weekend with my new TS1-IM irons (5i through GW, equipped with Maltby Pro Series graphite shafts), and all I can say is wow! The irons look incredible and feel even better. Every club is about a club and a half longer than my previous set, yet I’m not seeing any loss in height or descent angle. The 5-iron is especially impressive. It’s incredibly easy to hit and launches so high that I’m already considering adding the 4-iron to the bag. The only gapping issue I’ve noticed is between the set 48° gap wedge and my 52° Maltby DRT wedge. At the moment, I’m only seeing about a 5-yard difference between the two clubs. I’m confident that’s more of a swing or setup issue on my end than anything related to the irons themselves.

I only had time for 9 holes and tied my best 9 hole round of the year at +4. Had I avoided some really bad 3 puts (like missing several 2 to 3 foot par puts) this round could have easily been +1 or +2.
