So I play PTM Irons (4-Gap) , and have a 56 degree sand wedge. Was thinking of getting a 52 degree. So the question would be what wedge would play closet to the PTMs. It would be used mainly in the fairway. Any thoughts would be helpful.

I would wait a couple of weeks and get the new max wedge(.90) at 54* and 10* of bounce – have it bent to 52* (and 8* of bounce). I think this would blend nicely in between your current GW and SW.
or – another choice would be to get a 54* with whatever bounce you require and scrap the 56*.
or – bend your GW to 49* and bend the SW to 55*

In addition to the options Rlafoone suggested, you might consider the new MAX wedge in the 0.90 in the 52 degree. We should have these in very soon.
