Looking to buy my first set of Maltby Irons. I bought a putter and im in love with it so im gonna order wedges and irons next. Im currently unsure of what irons to order. Im looking for 5-GW as I currently play a Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 4 hybrid. I want to prioritize forgiveness but I do not like too much offset. Im currently a 14 handicap and I hit my 8 iron anywhere from 150-160 carry with the takomo 101 irons. I bought them off a friend who had them strengthen 2 degrees and I do not like them. My ball flight is generally low-mid with kbs tour 90 stiff flex shafts and I generally dont have alot of stopping power. The Takomo irons aren’t as forgiving on toe strikes as I’d like them to be since that is my normal miss. I was curious to if the Sti 2 Gen 2 irons would be a good fit or even the TS 3.5 irons but just weakend by 2 degrees. If I go with the TS 3.5, I will just do 5-AW. I do not full swing wedges so I only really play a 54 and 58 degree wedge which I plan on getting the max milled wedges. Also the Score LT shaft is about 15 grams heavier than my normal shaft. Would this be a big change if I switch to them? Or is there a comparable shaft at the same price that it can be swapped out to?
