I’m finding myself more in the rough than not. This is fairly thick rough and need a good distance club as well. I’ve been using hybrids but need something better. I’ve debated getting a 5 wood but feel a HiWay utility 21 degree may perform better. Is the utility a good club for rough, or a 5 wood. Many thanks ~ Bill
The HiWay Utility would be a good choice, but he haven’t carried it since 2022. Hybrids are a choice, but since you have tried those and are looking for something better, a #5 wood or #7 wood can really work well, depending on the type of the rough. Loft is a key factor on a club for getting out of the rough, and if you need some distance combined with the trajectory required to get out some types of rough, higher lofted fairways or hybrids are the best choices, in my experience.
