We developed the latest version of the MPF UL Driver shaft, and all the MPF shafts, based on years of experience, study, profiling, testing, etc. As a team, we all kind of have shafts in our minds from years past and current that we feel have the good profiles for what we are trying to target for any particular model. We develop several prototypes with with different materials and variations on profiles we know should produce the kind of feel and flight we are looking for and from that testing we decide on what the final build of the design will be. Basically what every shaft manufacturer does.
Tat being said, and briefly looking at our data base, the MPF UL shafts have some similar characteristics to the original Ventus Blue, but with a slightly lower balance point. The Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Pro Blue also has a similar profile. This does not mean these shafts will play the same, but the general profiles are somewhat similar. Materials, construction, wall thickness, geometry and other factors all play into how a shaft will perform and feel.
As far as additional driver paks for the Max TX driver, we are working on getting a few more options. Look for those in the next week or so. Most likely a another Tensei AV Series option, an Kai’Li Blue option and maybe one or two more. Not definite yet, but should a few more very soon.
