One of the first hybrids I made was a 19* and I was having trouble getting it high enough into the air. So I used a fairway wood shaft, and tipped it according to the weight of a fairway wood head of similar weight. Worked like a charm. If you use the Golfworks Brass Adaptor shims (https://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-brass-adaptor-shims/p/SHIM/), you shouldn’t have any problems.
TWGT pioneered the use of a smaller, 0.335″ tip construction to create hybrid shafts which offer as much as +4° higher launch angle over conventional 0.370″ hybrid shafts.
Your challenge would be to properly “shim” the shaft, should your hybrid diameter differ.
