What is the best/easiest (hopefully they’re the same!) way to remove a broken shaft tip from a hosel? I had a Modus 105 snap in my 7 iron yesterday. Props to the TS3 though, the ball still ended up pin high just right of the green!

The easiest way is to use one of the broken shaft extractor options we have. The links below are the options for the extractors and the third is the handle. The 35P5 broken screw shaft extractor option is slightly easier to use, in my opinion, but the first option (the fast extract) tends to last longer and works better for the really tough ones. I have had a lot of success with both. Whichever one you use, you just need to secure the head in a vise (with protecting pads of course). With the 35P5, heat the hosel, install the shaft extractor and tap it in with a hammer. Attach the handle and if the heat did it’s job and broke the epoxy bond, you should be able to turn the handle and extract the broken shaft. The GW1106 fast extract works well and below I put a link to the instructions it below the link to the product.

Hopefully this will help. Let us know how it goes.

I used the 35P5 and managed to get it out no problem. It took more heat and effort that I thought but the end result was fine. The club is back up & running.
One problem I have now is trying to get the broken tip off that bit. I have the squared off end of the bit that I can use a wrench on but I am having a hell of a time getting something to grab the tip so I can twist it off the bit. It just keeps spinning in whatever pliers / wrench I use. Any suggestions there?
