I want to put graphite shafts into a set of ping zing2 irons, how long would the shaft be from the end of the hosel to the end of the butt of the 6 iron?
Assuming I add or subtract half an inch from that number, thanks for your help.

We have never measured clubs from the top of the hosel to the butt end, and I do not have a Zing 2 orange dot to measure for you. You should have the clubs measured in the traditional way and note the lengths. ONce you remove the steel and install the graphite, you would cut to whatever length you want from the butt end. Ping usually made the heads heavier that were going to be shafted with graphite. I know they did on the Eye 2 irons. Pretty sure they did on the Zing 2 irons. They never made the graphite shafted clubs longer, they just used the heavier heads so the swing weights would be in the same range as the steel. Since you are re-shafting a set that was originally shafted with steel, you could make them 1/2″ longer, if the graphite is lighter, if you wanted the swing weight to be maintained.
