What are the major differences between the TS-3 iron and the upcoming TE+ iron? I am really liking what I see from a TS-3 demo, but am wondering if I should wait and test the new TE+ iron before making a decision. I am thinking that the TE+ will be a forged cavity back as well. Are they targeted for different players? A different price point? Or, will the TE+ be completely different from the past model. Thanks.
They are very similar in playability. The TS3 is forged 1025C carbon steel head and has a progressive cavity that has tungsten co-forged in the toe. It also has a progressive offset. The TE+ is a forged players cavity as well, but with no tungsten and the offset is constant throughout the set. The TE+ has the same lofts as the TS3, which is more in line with todays lofts vs the original TE. So, in short, they are both players cavities that will have different looks but have very similar Super Game Improvement playability.
