The M890 line is exactly what I would have done. Not knowing her athletic ability or strength I can’t comment on whether the loft and flex combination is exactly right, but if she is a beginner, my bet is what you got her is fine. An iron and hybrid combination set would be what I would do. Ralph’s information is useful and covers the basics, but today we tend to fit more on stature, strength, athleticism, ability … not gender. Obviously some female players may not have the strength as some men, but that is not a given. We evaluate based on what I just mentioned. You might start by adding a 5 wood for the fairway, then a #4 hybrid, then a #6, #8, PW and SW iron as a partial set, and of course a putter.
