So I built 3 wood to standard length using a UFW head and a grafalloy-prolite-35 shaft. I used a tour velvet midsize grip and installed a reminder rib. This club is awesome. For me it is finding a ton of fairways and carrying about 240 give or take with a straight to slight draw ball flight.
It was time for new grips on my irons so I decided to use the same midsize tour velvet and reminder rib on my irons. The irons are mizunos JPX825 pro’s, the shafts are KBS Tour FST. They had the original grips on them, I would assume standard size with a .580 core
Prior to the grip change I had been fighting a hook. Once the new grips are installed I am fighting a terrible slice that I cant get to go away. Even the best shots are still fading some. Any change its the equipment change and not me? Swing weight issue maybe?
it turns out it was the grips. Apparently I did a poor job installing them and they where slipping some on the irons. Pulled them off and reinstalled them and now all is well.
