I was seeking info on a Hogan Medallion, on this site the picture shown was the model I was looking for…however, the information was for the 1978 Hogan Medallion…do you have any information the model pictured AND can you change the picture to match the stats?
I am not sure what picture you are referring to. The only picture we have is on our website in the MPF (Maltby Playability Factor) for irons database. The iron pictured IS the 1978 Ben Hogan Medallion iron. That particular image is a #5 iron. I don’t understand what you think we should change. The specifications listed are correct for that Hogan Medallion #5 iron. The link to it is below:

Well, you are correct. My apologies. In looking at our archives and the information we have, the model we show is actually 1995. So we were way off. Not sure how it happened. So I don’t know if the specs are correct for the true 1978 medallion iron, or if they are correct for the 1995 one pictured and just the date is incorrect. Possible it’s just the wrong picture, or just the wrong date. So, I will need some time to figure this out. Thanks for pointing it out. Again, sincere apologies for having the wrong date posted, and my incorrect response earlier. We will correct it on our site once we figure it out.

no problem…the specs seem to be spot on for the ’78-’81 Medallion….
I double checked on the Vintage Ben Hogan site where they have a Ben Hogan Iron poster for sale (@ $200) but it clearly shows the pics for the ’78 and the ’95…

you might also wish to check the picture for Apex (forged) 1978…That was the last year for the Apex with Apex on the sole & there was a sunburst on the back. There was an Apex II black cameo that began in 1979 & an Apex II white cameo that began in 1981 (I think)…I don’t know what Hogan iron is displayed, but am pretty sure that none of the Apex’s I mentioned fit the picture, not sure about the specs…..guess it’s something more to check.

Don’t be sorry. We want it to be accurate. Ralph was very meticulous about this stuff, but it appears at least this Hogan Medallion is not correct. I will check the others as well as I have time. We will eventually get it corrected.

I understand that the only picture showing is that of “A” Ben Hogan Medallion brass cameo & the data is for correct for a ’78 brass cameo Medallion…however, the picture is NOT a 1978 iron…it is a later era & I’ve been trying to get info on it.
I have 2 complete sets of the ’78 brass cameo Medallion & a set of the 1982 Starburst Medallion.
I could post a picture of the correct ’78 Medallion, but I don’t see that option …
