Aside from projecting to have a very high MPF, I believe the KE4 max will have a horizontal center of gravity that is slightly toe side. Seems like this would benefit players who miss toe side?
Also, assuming two irons have the same or similar MPF scores, but had different C-dimensions, in theory the one with the higher C-dimension would be more stable on toe side misses correct?
I’ve played a couple rounds with these now. Compared to my TS2 these launch; higher, longer, and straighter then then the TS2 (or anything I’ve ever hit from Golfworks). I know the lofts are “jacked” but these things are the real deal as far as forgiveness goes.

You are correct in all your assumptions. Should have the official MPF for the KE4 MAX iron posted later this week. It will be High and in the Ultra Game Improvement category. The prototype (first sample) was 978 MPF points. Longer C-dimensions simply make the irons more stable on off center hits and when the cg is toe side of center, shots hit on the toe will feel more solid and feel better. the closer the impact is to where the cg is, the more solid the feel and the better the shot result.

C-Dim plays a part in what the MOI is, but C-Dim and the AVCG have more of an impact on the MPF rating. The reason is you can have massive MOI but the CG is is not is a good place. If you have a high MOI, but a high cg and and a short C-Dim, we deduct points from the rating. That is what we call bad MOI. Example would be a design that has a long hosel. Longer hosels spread out the mass and can increase the MOI, but it moves the cg up and towards the heel, which is not good for stability or playability. Some designs may look like they are forgiving, but if the cg is higher than it should be, or too close the heel, both due to poor weight distribution, the MPF number will be negatively affected.

Thank you for the response. I’m curious on C-dim vs. MOI. I’m sure they go together in some way, but what I have noticed is that Ping in their G model irons have MOI numbers that look to be higher than almost everything else, but the C-dim for example is less than the KE4 max.
