Looking at the club packs for the KE4 TC Tour fairways and would like to know the difference in the two shafts and how they compare. Would get either one in R flex, and would be leaning toward the 14 degree clubhead, but have concerns about being able to get enough height w/ that loft & either shaft. Is one higher launching? Would the 16 degree clubhead be easier to hit. My main focus is distance.

Loft will influence trajectory to a far greater degree than shaft differences, always. That being said, the MPF shaft in the R flex has a stiffer profile than the Kuro Kage Black HPB R flex, so the more flexible option would be the Kuro Kage, which means it could produce slightly higher trajectory and will feel softer than the MPF Fairway shaft.

The more the loft the easier it is gonna be to launch. I wouldn’t call the 14 hard to launch but depending on your swing speed, will you get everything out of the lower lofted head? Just going from past experiences I’d recommend the higher lofted head but built to the 3 wood length.

those 2 shafts are going to be different. The Kuro Kage has a higher balance point then the Maltby. If you have any experience hitting a higher balance point shaft (counter balanced) you’ll usually have a strong preference either way.

I was hoping for a more detailed comparison of the two shafts knowing they’d be different … no experience hitting a higher balanced point shaft.
