I recently purchased an STf2 3 wood and had an Even Flow Blue 65g stiff shaft installed. My previous 3 wood has an old NV 65g stiff. The NXT GEN NV and the EF Blue are both rated 4B2M and getting older I thought I would like the “smooth” feel of the Even Flow. I was wrong, I hit the EF Blue so high and just did not like the feel. Do you know if the original NV had the same MPF score as NXT GEN? I’m just trying to figure out why it is so different.
Regardless, I am debating buying the NXT GEN NV and might step up to 75g since I have a Ping Tour 65g Stiff in my driver. I am also intrigued by the Maltby Pro Series FW 75g shaft, based on comments I’ve read here on the forum and the price point. I’m curious if you have any thoughts between the NV and the Maltby. My driver SS is 105-106 and I am not an aggressive swinger, it’s a pretty smooth transition. Thanks for your help!
