Which of the Maltby Heads would you consider most forgiving? In comparison to the Ping G410 Plus, Cobra Extreme, Maverick Max, etc?
The problem with assessing which driver is more forgiving is that all modern drivers are very forgiving. This is mainly due to the size. 450-460 cc size drivers, which most of them are, are all very stable. That being said, for any individual you might find one that has a cg that is in a more “friendly” or forgiving place than another. Lower and more rearward cg locations would tend to be more forgiving or user friendly than higher and forward cg’s. Some allow the adjustability of the cg, which is a nice feature to dial in very specific launch and spin numbers. I would say that feature tends to be more important the better the player is. In our Maltby drivers, if I had to rank them for forgiveness only, the KE4 TC(adjustable), the STw2 and the M890 would all be the same, highly playable and forgiving. The ISO-T I would put as a very close second only because we engineered it to have a little higher cg.
