Currently testing a TS-1 7i, and loving it. Thinking ahead, I am considering pulling the shafts from my Nike VR-S Forged irons to put into new TS-1 heads.
I cannot find the hosel depth measurement online, is there a way to determine it before pulling a head?
The shafts are TT DG Pro. Would I be better off just ordering TS-1s with the Score LT shafts and trying them out first?
Sure. You can call in and place an order for the TS-1 with the Score and whatever grip you want, and to whatever specifications you need. We don’t have the Score as an option on our custom club builder program on our website because it is basically our stock shaft. Still, we can take the order over the phone. The one problem at the moment is that we are out of stock on the Score shaft. Expecting more in 3 weeks. We are trying to get more in sooner, but True Temper tells us it will be at least 3 weeks.

While I don’t have the Nike VR-S Forged head readily available to measure, I am reasonably sure the hosel depth is more than the TS-1. I know the hosel is longer on the Nike, so I am assuming the bore depth is more. The DG Pro was a variable trajectory shaft produced in a .355 taper tip, so I can’t really compare the profile to the Score. I think the Score is a highly under rated shaft because of it’s price. We use it a lot and have had a lot of positive feedback from it. The Score is the same build that was used in one of the Major OEM’s stock sets for many years. True Temper offered it to us when the OEM changed their offering and we have been running with it ever since. We simply re-branded it “Score”. I do think the Score would most likely play a little softer than the DG Pro, comparing flex to flex. What shaft did you order in the TS-1 #7 iron you’re testing? If you like it, why not go with it? If it’s a different shaft than the Score, maybe order the #6 iron with the Score and compare. Great way to experiment without it costing a lot.

Is there a way to order the TS-1 with a Score shaft?
I bought my “test” club off a member of another forum, so I didn’t get to choose the shaft. It’s currently on a shaft that I believe is too stiff for my swing speed.
