I have never known Ping to put the ball bearing in irons. Some putters in the past, yes, but not irons. I have not worked on one for a while, but pretty sure there is no ball bearing in the i5 irons.

They typically don’t but are taper tipped, as well as impact driven to hold. Have removed many heads asking that same question had to use extractor with some decent pressure and they pulled off… correction shot off.
