My brother in law is playing stiff steel in his irons and wants to go to a regular flex graphite. Does the pro series in in R flex play stiff (I’ve heard they do). If so he try the A flex in an iron? He swings rather hard. I also want to know if the same applies to UL driver shafts. If I want a Senior flex will it play stiff (should I try the “L” flex instead). I only hit my drives about 175 to 190 yards.

The Pro series does play a bit firm. I’d want to know more about your brothers swing; typical yardages for drives and what iron he hits for a 150 yard shot.
if he’s playing stiff flex and struggling just a bit with turning the ball over or just having issues making it through a round of golf? The pro series in R flex straight in or soft stepped 2 times (puts the flex as more of a soft regular or some say firm) could work very well, for him.
your driver distance would typically put you in a A flex in the Pro series. The thing that would make the most sense would be buy a couple shafts of regular for your brother in law and a couple of the A flex for you. Reshaft a mid iron and a short iron in both your sets. Take them out and try them. That way you’re not out on a full set of they don’t work out.
Thanks state champ. I’m good with the A flex driver. My brother- in- law who is 68 hits his drives 200 to 240 and very high. Hey everyone in my foursome outdrives me, but I have a lower average score and handicap than they do (greens play). Yes I think he tires after swinging his heavy irons, so I think we’ll try the R flex and see how that goes. At the price of these clubs we won’t lose a fortune!
