The Maltby Pro Series is definitely the firmer profile of the two. I think for most players it would be noticeably firmer. We designed the Rapport to be more on the averages for each flex designation. We have thousands of shafts in our database and we analyze the flex ranges. There is no standard for flex, as you know, and we look at all the profiles for each category and flex designation. With that data we can get averages and compare each section of the shaft to the database. I have always felt the MPF was a great shaft and undervalued and under priced, but it is firmer in each flex than the averages. It would be near the top of the range (firmer side) for each flex. The Rapport is, like I said, more on the average line. Both perform well. The MPF will (or it should) feel firmer than the Rapport.
