Hello,
I need a replacement shaft for a 5-iron Wilson D200. Shaft imprint reads UST-Mamiya Elements Chrome 59 FR. A Google search did not reveal any useful technical information on this shaft. I measured frequency on the 6-iron from the same set and came up with a reading of 269 cpm, indicating L – flex. This is a bit of a surprise because the owner of the iron – set is a strong, long hitting male player. (Yes, I double checked on my measuring equipment and it does work). Any suggestions for a suitable replacement shaft for the broken 5-iron?
Thanks an best regards, Joe
Thank you for your fast response, Britt. If I go by shaft weight, I should order R-Flex. But looking at the low cpm-reading, I am not so sure. For me, 285 – 290 cpm is R-Flex in a 5-iron. Is UST-Mamiya known to be of completely different opinion when relating shaft frequency to flex designations L, LL, R, S?
Best regards, Joe
