What shaft pairs well with the new TC max driver head ??
I have been hitting the Aldila Ascent 60g Reg flex, but when I installed it on this head
it seems stiff and unresponsive. Swing speed 85-88. Any suggestions ?? Thanks
Can’t really explain why the Ascent would feel that much different in the Max, but sometimes switching heads can make a club perform or feel differently. The Ascent flex ranges are pretty average, meaning that the R flexes are average for all R flexes. They are not on the stiff side of the range or the flexible side of the range. Based on your swing speed, I might suggest going to a 50 gram weight in the R flex, in either the Ascent or something like the Rapport Core Blue. We developed the Core Blue with VA Composites and it has performed well. Better price point if that matters. I do not believe your giving anything up based on price. Again, the Ascent is a good product as well, but since your experience what your experiencing, might want to try something else. The Aldila NVS in the 55 R might be another option. Similar profile to the Rapport. The Ascent in the 50 R would be slightly more flexible in the butt section than the Rapport and the NVS, based on the data we have in our database.
