Will a Fujikura Vista Pro iron shaft fit into a Ping G425 hosel? And does anyone know what the tip diameter of a Ping Distanza 40 shaft is (in a G710 iron). Thanks

The Ping 425 has a hosel depth of approx. 1.25″. The reason I start with that is that a .370″ parallel tip shaft will go in to about 1″. The hosel then tapers. Ping has historically used .355 taper tip shafts. We are telling people that is more of a universal hosel. If you use a .355″ taper tip you will have to shim it or use a collared ferrule. Shimming is better in our opinion. If you use a .370″ tip shaft, it fits better, but will need to be tapered slightly to get to the bottom of the hosel on the G425. The Ping 730 hosel depth is only 1.06″ and a parallel tip .370″ shaft will go to 1″, so the it almost goes to the bottom. Very little taperign would need to be done and the .370 fits better than the .355. Again, like with the G425, if you use a .355″ in the G730, you will just need to shim it. No idea what the Ping Distanza 40 tip diameter is. Could be a tapered .370″ or a .355 taper tip that they use a collard ferrule with. If it’s .355″ they would have to shim it or use a substantial collared ferrule to make it fit.
