When tipping a replacement shaft on an older Callaway Big Bertha true bore through head, should I reduce the tipping by the additional depth (5/8″) the shaft goes into the hosel beyond the normal  1″ depth? Ex: If the tipping chart specifies tipping the shaft 3″ for a standard shaft, should I reduce the tip by the additional distance (5/8″) required to finish the bore through correctly while retaining the desired flex that club?

Thanks, Bruce
