Some additional thoughts regarding the shafts in your pings. The TFC shafts are a 74 gram shaft, mid kick point, and recommended for a 70 -80 mph swing speed. The shafts are about $80.00 each. Their are multiple options with after market shafts at less cost. With the costs involved, best to get properly fitted. Good Luck
Ping Irons require taper tip shafts, which means they are not to be tip trimmed. You can hard step the shafts once or twice; but it will require 1 – 2 additional shafts to complete the set. Example> 6I shaft to a 5I shaft to hardstep once. Hard stepping just once may not yield the playability you are looking for. Also, Ping uses a very strong epoxy and extra time & care is need to pull shafts with an extractor. Hope this info helps.
Two very good points that will lead me to leave this set of clubs intact and find a set with regular flex shafts . Too much time on my hands and in want of a project . Thank you for your input T Brandt .
