I am wondering the design intent of the TS4. What would the difference be between the TS1? I understand the hollow body vs the solid body but what market is the TS4 targeted to that would not consider the TS1 and is it large enough to service? These are honest curious questions. Thanks
Totally honest and understandably curious. Both designs are what I would call “Players” blades in profile and overall look. The TS1 is a hollow body design with polymer injected, a thin face and tungsten weighting, modern technology that enhances the feel and ball speed. The TS4 is more of a pure muscle back design, also with some internal technology to enhance feel and weight distribution (not polymer injected), including tungsten weighting. I won’t disclose the internal technology until we get closer to launching. Both should appeal to the player that likes the traditional profile. That being said, the look of a more traditional muscle is something we get requests for all the time. And, the playability of ours is much greater than any other “blades” on the market, that there is a market for the two options. We sell a lot of “players blades” and “players cavities” mainly because, I believe, they are more stable, forgiving and playable than comparable designs in the market. So, there is room for both. Might even have another one in the works as well. We will see.

If I am playing the TS1, what would be the difference in a TS4? Lower launch? Higher spin? I am assuming the MPF will come in at low-700 so I am guessing about the same forgiveness. Is it just a looks and feel difference or actual playability characteristics will change? I ask because I have never played blades but nothing has ever felt and performed for me like the TS1’s do. To azstu324, the blade lengths will be basically the same.
To mrtkopa, the playability should be similar, but until I get the entire prototype set of the TS4 and test, I can not say for sure if the launch and spin numbers will be noticeably different. TS4 will have a degree more loft, but the vertical cg may be very slightly higher than the TS1, but the cg location is not final yet. Whether they feel different will be something each player will have to determine. For me, they both feel great comparing the #6 irons. Honestly, so far with the limited comparable testing I have done, no real feel difference. Need to do more in playing conditions with specific golf balls, etc. to be definitive, but not expecting any noticeable difference.

Britt, thank you for the ‘leak’/info on these, very exciting. I’m now holding out for the TS4s. Been squeezing everything I can out of my z745s.. just waiting for something from y’all. Slowly been filling up the bag with maltby products that I’ve assembled in my garage. I’m excited about the TS4s! As well as the new pro driver. Loving the KE4 tc currently, but I’m a tinkerer. Someone on one of these posts/comments mentioned a ‘strong 3’/’small driver,’ welp, I’m in for that as well. Again really appreciate your time and the lovely teaser pics, thank you.

I think they will be worth the wait. It will be a while. As I said, I was hesitant in showing because of where we are in the development and how long development time is taking right now, but hopefully late in 2022 we will have them. That’s the optimistic time frame. Still, super excited about the TS4’s, and the other models we have coming. Thanks for your interest and comments. I really appreciate it.

Are you able to divulge if there is a difference in blade length? Will the TS4 be any shorter of a profile or about the same as the TS1?
