Can someone compare the TSW and Max wedges? I have the Max, and like them, but they seem a tad “big” to my eye and it’s starting to get in my head. Are the TSW more compact? Do they play appreciably different?

They do play different. The MAX is more of an all around wedge that is good for neutral to softer conditions. It also has the two sole width options, with the wider option being a little more of a game improvement wedge. The TSW has much more of a relief grind or tour grind, meaning it is better in neutral to firm turf conditions and allows for the blade to be opened up more without the leading edge raising as much. TSW is more of a “players” wedge requiring a little higher skill level, in my experience. Below are links to information sheets abut each wedge line. Might be helpful in comparing.
