A group of guys I play with plans to surprise one of the guys with a new driver. We’re going to have him fitted for the shaft, but I wanted to buy the driver head ahead of time. Any suggestions for a driver head suited for a mid-handicap senior?
He’s got no problem hitting the fairway; he’s just using a 20-year-old driver, and he could use some extra distance.
I know a few seniors >60 that can carry over 300yds, and guys not even close to Senior that cant get near 200. I just made 60 and i can get 145+ ball speed, use an 8 degree loft, and 100g shaft.
There isnt really an ideal head for seniors :-)

As a “senior” guy myself (69 y/o), I really enjoy the KE4 Max myself. Have used various shafts and currently playing the Denali Red R flex; really enjoying this combo. Have had good success with the Maltby Pro Series, Kuro Kage Black and UST 55. All work well, just feels like I get a slightly better “kick” with the Denali Red.
I think our KE4 Max Driver could work. It’s adjustable, so it can be tweaked if needed to fit him. If he needs more loft, we are working on a higher lofted version (12 deg. standard), but it won’t be here for a few months.
