Yes. I weakened the loft a degree or 2. Would have to double check to confirm exact loft.

P.S. Seems to be roughly a 10 CPM difference between gripped (stiffer) and un-gripped. Does this make sense?

Good question! I’ve always hated assembling those as I struggle to see the angles/line. Main reason I ordered the new PTM-7 assembled. Look forward to seeing what others say.
