I always put the red line on the top and the white line should be 90* to the left, pointing toward the target for a right handed player. David

I haven't seen the pro series but if they are still like the previous models and like the Xccaliber shafts, those lines are the spine of the shaft. They are usually pretty close, so if you can't spline...

I have never used anything to keep them in place with either the older 3 peg style or the newer triangle style and have never had one come out. I made sure they were tight at the beginning of the year...
