I will be trying out some new Maltby clubs soon. I plan to order an iron or two (custom shop) and fairway woods (paks),and wanted some shaft advice. I’m interested in which of the graphite pak options is the best middle of the road choice for someone like me, back playing again after a few decades off. I don’t really have the time — or think it’s worth the time/money — at this point, relearning my swing, to get a shaft fitting or to try a bunch of shafts with various profiles. Just looking for a solid middle of everything choice to start. My old clubs are MP-14s with DGS300. Kind of feel like swinging tree trunks these days. On a trip recently I rented clubs and played a few rounds with Callaway Elyte irons with stiff steel shafts, Vectors I think. Hit the 37 degree 9 iron about 150/155 when flush. So I’m wondering what I should try first between Maltby, Rapport Blue, or Kuro Kage in a sample iron (prob TEv4) and 3/5 wood. Thanks in advance.
