Having just purchased the Auditor FA, was wondering about the “gripped” clubs chart. Is it primarily focused on woods? Seems to be a slight disconnect when comparing to the un-gripped wood and iron charts. Thoughts?

Shof is basically correct. Difference in gripped and ungripped can be around 10 cpm’s. Of course that can vary because different grips on the same club can give you different readings. That is why for comparative purposes and in looking at flex progressions throughout a set, ungripped gives you more consistency by taking the grip out of the equation. The regular chart that is used will reflect flex ranges based on gripped clubs. The flex range charts we put together a few years ago after testing a lot of shafts were based on ungripped. Thanks. I was able to get both the wood and iron un-gripped charts and the single gripped chart.
P.S. Seems to be roughly a 10 CPM difference between gripped (stiffer) and un-gripped. Does this make sense?
