18 hcp here. Been playing for a couple years and play really often. Pretty high swing speed. I will preface this by saying that it’s probably a flaw in my swing that is exacerbated by the irons, rather than the irons themselves.

I was using some JPX 921 HM Pros but switched to the TS3.5 (SCORE steel shafts, stiff) because the HMs were way too hot sometimes. I can’t seem to stop hooking the TS3.5 (like massive, 30 yard hooks into oblivion).

I’ve hit a few other iron sets and I don’t seem to have the same issue. Typical miss is left but usually about 10 or 15 yards. It might be because the TS3.5s feel much heavier than the Mizunos but it really shouldn’t matter that much :(

I still want to move off of the hot metals because of the fliers, just wondering if there is a Maltby set that could be recommended that might be a better fit for me. Overall ball striking is pretty good usually. Seems like my miss tends to come from wonky swing path more than anything.

Alternatively if anyone could recommend a different iron shaft to try with the 3.5s I could maybe do that too.
