I have a set of ping I210 irons that I would like to install one of the designer ferrules. Because those clubs come with the collared Ferrule will I need to use a shim in order to keep the club shaft centered properly?
If you are installing a .335″ taper tip shaft you will want to use a shim to keep the shaft centered in the bore. Our SHIM .355″ – 370″ works well for this installation. Ping has started to use a universal hosel bore that will also accept a .370″ parallel shaft tip size. We find the SHIM with the .355″ taper tip shafts works well even with the Ping ferrules.
