Hi All,

I started golfing in February of this year so I’m still a high handicap (30). I’m using a set of second hand clubs I bought cheap off Facebook market place. After having a lesson the coach confirmed my current clubs probably aren’t a great fit for me since they’re regular flex and my swing speed is on the border of stiff and x-stiff.

Rather than buying another set of second hand clubs which I will replace eventually, I’ve decided to go a new set that I will hopefully keep for years to come, and I’ve landed on Maltby. I’m debating between the 3 sets listed in the title. I understand the TS3 is probably the best fit with the highest MPF and lower CG, but I also absolutely love the look of the IM’s and especially the TS4’s.

Just looking to see if any other high handicaps (or anyone for that matter) who may have tested each club have any feedback or suggestions.

Years ago I played with Ping GMax irons with an MPF around 969. I went for a shaft fitting and picked up a TS1 for kicks as I like how it looked. Felt like butter. A few weeks later instead of shafts I had a set of TS1’s built. Handicap dropped. Fitting definitely helped but I have to think the smaller head actually helps me focus better as strike improved so much. The only thing I lost was a touch of forgiveness on the toe. I’m going from TS1 to TS3 once my shafts arrive. I’d think TS3 or TS1 with the right shafts. Both are forgiving. So is the TS4, but from what I’ve read, thinking the other two. All three are great.
