I previously owned a set of MCC forged irons and am currently interested in the DBM or TE irons. Can you tell me if there is anything new planned for 2016 that might peak my interest?
Glad your continuing with the three forgings. As a side note the 431 stainless steels are getting good reviews. I know a little about stainless steel. I’ve worked with 303 304 and 431 stainless steel. 303 is superb material but it’s soft. Your Cameron putters are 303 and 304. 431 stainless teamed up with some of the graphite shaft offerings gives you control and feel. I’ve done 5 sets with the Excals x tour shaft with 431. Great shaft with the new 431 stainless heads. Don’t be afraid of 431 stainless heads. 431 still has feel and is very bendable.
The MCC irons were a great model for us. The DBM’s and the TE irons have been best sellers for us for several years. We plan to continue the DBM’s and the TE’s for next year, as well as bring back the MMB-17 Forged irons, which we were closing out this year, but too much demand has made us re-think the decision to drop it from the line. WE have two new models of irons in the works. I am not sure if either will make the first catalog, but if the development process moves along smoothly, we hope to have them in April. Neither will be forged models. One is going to be an Ultra Game Improvement hybrid set, with 3,4,5 hybrid and 6 thru SW. The other will be more of a “players” profile option to the STi iron we came out with this year. At this point in the development, we plan on both irons being 431 heat treated stainless steel. The hybrids will probably 17-4 stainless. We also have a new Driver and a re-do of some wedges (and bringing back some wide sole options we have had in the past). A few other things as well we hope to have developed and ready for spring.
