Since we are throwing out suggestions i would love to see blended sets.
The TS family would be a perfect family of irons to have done so. We all love the sexy blade like irons in the scoring clubs but almost everyone needs help at the top of the bag. Heck even the Pros have embraced blended sets.
So hopefully if you do another family of forged clubs to please consider aligning the lofts to make blending easy. Many thanks..
Given a blank sheet of paper this is almost exactly what my dream setup would be. Breaking up the clubs into three groups. Scoring clubs, mid irons and long irons.
Going from a near muscle design to a full cavity design in the long irons.
Each set of irons should play differently to a certain extent as their roles are quite different as well. I would concentrate on feel and playability as my two biggest goals.
I have been grouping my iron shafts in weight categories these past few years with great success. Three different weights. Heavier in the scoring irons, lighter in the mid irons and even lighter in the long irons. It gives me a set that is very easy to play and they seamlessly flow together.
