Does anyone have advice on a way to clean/refinish a driver face? I’ve regripped and reshafted by brother-in-law’s old driver for him and wanted to make the head look in better shape. I’m not concerned about having in conform. Thanks, Geoff
Hey, Geoff,
I’m assuming you’re referring to metal drivers. Best way to do refinishing work on most driver faces and stainless steel irons is with the Jet Multi Tool. It makes driver faces and iron heads look like new. Here’s the link for more information: https://www.golfworks.com/multi-tool-polishing-and-grinding-station/p/MT0007/
There’s also a YouTube video by Pete Calloway of GolfWorks which shows how to use it. https://youtu.be/hNYXrzxEuoU
If you have a bench grinder, the Scotchbrite wheel also does a good job. GolfWorks used to stock several wheels. The EXL finishing wheel is still available – https://www.golfworks.com/3m-scotchbrite-exl-finishing-wheel/p/EXLM/
Hope this helps! Michael
Thanks Michael!
