Hi,
I am trying to reshaft a Callaway XR16 fw-4 but find it hard to find a ferrule that fit. I have tried using collared ferrules as well as standard ferrules but I find it hard to centralize the head and ferrule and when the epoxy has hardened there will be a slight gap between the head and ferrule towards the heel of the club. Could you recommend a ferrule that works or any other ideas?
Thanks,
Stefan
Thanks for your reply. The ferrules that I have tried are square and I have also tried collared ferrules but have no one that fits. My guess is that the hosel is a bit wide at the top, which makes it possible to move the shaft slightly before the epoxy has hardened and that a collared ferrule would help to center the shaft. I have had this problem a couple of years ago with another club and a collared ferrule was the solution that time. Any advice?
