what is the procedure The Golfworks uses to profile golf shafts? I know Tom Wishon used a 454 gram weight for profiling at 5″ intervals from the tip and uses a 205 gram weight for an initial butt frequency.
Curious how Golfworks does theirs and is the database available to users?

We actually put the procedure for measuring zone frequencies of raw shafts in the back of The Golfworks Laser Frequency Analyzer instruction manual. The link is below. We also measure balance point, deflection and shaft diameter. We also do more extensive profile testing as well, but the 4 zones tested as described in the manual are more than enough to give us a clear picture of the flex distribution in a shaft.
