Not really. I use a Jennings c600
thnx again for help i dont know who to ask! i have calibrated many times and no good. heres problem : scale reads fine for grams ozs etc. but reads b2 for swingwt for something that should be d2. does that sound like 20 swingwt error ? would that convert to about 100gms?
I’m guessing you’re not using a conventional swingweight scale and are using a procedure similar to what D. Tutelman describes:
https://www.tutelman.com/golf/design/swingwt4.php
or the calculator like the one on leaderboard.com
http://www.leaderboard.com/SWINGWEIGHT?LEVER=725&LUNITS=10&WEIGHT=419
or possibly you converted a mechanical SW scale to digital like i did in the past:
https://www.tutelman.com/golf/measure/digitalModSwingweightScale.php
I doubt if your scale is jacked up and you’ve probably measured a variety of weights to ensure it’s linear. I estimate you’re looking at roughly a 68 gram error, which is highly unlikely. In the event there is some hysteresis, tare the scale between each use, or turn it off and wait a moment before turning it back on. Do one or the other each time you make a measurement. This should eliminate any hysteresis (lag) in measurements.
Also make sure if you’re doing conversions between inches and mm/cm as well as grams and ounces that your calculations are correct.
I had a similar problem with my scale conversion (mechanical to digital) a few years back. Turning my scale on/off elimated what i considered hysteresis and all was back to normal. I’ve since purchased an older model of the golfmechanix digital SW scale (used), I believe the directions mention turning the unit on and off when measuring between clubs.
Hope this helps…
thanks for your help! are you familiar with this particular scale?
