Hi guys – I have a question for anybody playing either the Ke4 tour+, the TE forged, or the MMBs. I am looking at building a set of irons, and am considering these three. I play to a 3 handicap, with a driver swing speed of 109-112. My current irons are mizuno mp-57s with Project X 6.0 shafts. I love the look of the TE irons, but I have a high (sometimes too high) trajectory with my irons already, and I know that based off of the MPF ratings the CoG is pretty low in them. I’m concerned that trajectory may be more of an issue because of this.

I will be trying all three of them with a variety of shafts, but before I do I was wondering if anybody can share their experiences with some of these irons. Thanks guys!

Played all three Andy. I settled on the TE and MMB. I play the TE’s in the longer irons and the MMB in 8, 9 and wedge. I prefer the irons closer to lofts of ten years ago. Both models feel great, but if you hit them on the button and your worried about too high a trajectory I’d go with the MMB.

The KE4 tour is also a good iron. it’s not a forging, but it has terrific feel and is adjustable, as well as being very affordable. I play a 5.5 in project shafts, and also Xcal tour in stiff.

The TE is one sweet looking club though.

Thanks Woody – this helps. I will still try them all, but I am thinking the MMB might be the better option. How do you like the mixed set? Do the 7 and 8 irons “blend” together?

Totally agree on the TE looks – I love the low offset.
