Would love to hear thoughts on anyone with experience with the STi2 & TS-2. Am a mid handicapper hitting 7 iron 150 yards. Keen to hear the pros and cons on both. Don’t have chance to try myself given overseas shipping costs. Am open to both irons & even a mixed set, just love some guidance
I am a mid-handicapper and have a set of TS-2 with KBS C-taper Lite shafts. They are terrific heads, as good as any OEM. If you can afford them, I would encourage you to get them. If you do not want to spend $50 on a head, the STi2 will be a very good head and cannot be beat at its pricepoint.
I’m sure you were hoping for more response, but I can give you our experience, as the designers. The TS-2 has been a best seller ever since it came out. Tremendous feel and playability, and long. The technology in the face and he stronger lofts make it a great club for those needing to get back some of the distance they have lost, or just want to keep up with some of the stronger lofted options in the market. The feel is what makes it stand out, in my opinion. The STi2 is equally as good, but does have a little different profile. The lofts are not quite as strong as the TS-2’s, so depending on your clubhead speed, you might hit them slightly higher and very slightly shorter, but they are by no means short. Still strong lofts compared to traditional lofts. We have had nothing but great feedback on the STi2. It is an extremely playable and stable (forgiving) design with solid feel. A great value, I might add, at the price as well.
