I bit the bullet–Took my Ping Eye 2 set and bent them from 2degrees upright too 2 degees flat. Did it 24 hours ago and checked them this AM—all lofts and lies stayed the same as I bent them. Bent them tp Ping spcs for loft–stayed right on the money.

OK. Not sure where you might of heard that they would not stay once bent, but once you get them to the spec you want, they will not go back. They are 17-4 stainless and can be a little more difficult to bend, especially 4 degrees, but the properties of that material and the processes used do allow for bending them and they will stay to where you bent them. Bent many Pings my whole life and never had any go back.

Might have come from this forum, but it did not come from me. 2 degrees is kind of a standard answer and that might have been mentioned, but I’m confident that none of our staff would have told you they can’t be bent or would not stay bent. Been doing this for 40+years. Played Ping Eye II’s for quite a while at a high level and NEVER had them go out of the spec I set them at, and I played a lot of that time in Texas off of firm turf, so… Doesn’t mean it could not happen for someone else, but that was MY experience with Ping a lot of years ago. And, we bend them here occasionally for customers. Rarely more than a degree or two, but we do bend them. If others had other experiences, that is what this forum brings, other experiences. That’s about all I can say.

I understand what your saying–I also understand why you are saying what your saying. I am not trying to be arguementative.—or RUDE. I have followed these commentaries for a long time. I have read some that disagree and have bent them. All I was saying that I did it–bent some 6*, let them set for 24 hourse and re-measured them and they have not settled back. Not mad–not arguementative–Just my experience.
I must also say that just recently, I broke an old VIP by Macgregor–and bent the rest of the set. Only God knows !
Well, Brett—all of the commentary about not being able to bend, can’t bend but 2degrees, will not stay bent–come from this forum.
