I currently have the ts-2 6 iron with the ust iron hl r flex and find that I not being consistent when playing. I am thinking of changing to a hybrid that would be between my tm burner 5-24* rescue, with burner superfast 60 r flex shaft and tm m4 7 iron and use it for my 140 -145 yd shots. The tm 5 rescue has been my go to club that I have had from the being of playing golf. With my GPS watch I have hit this 5 rescue club 160 to 170 yrds, I am 72 years old and on the foresight quad my 6 iron club head speed is 75-77 mph. I am looking for recommendations on what options I would have.

I would try our M809 #5 hybrid with 28 degrees of loft. The TS-2 6 iron was a good idea to try in that the 28.5 degree loft fits into the gap you are trying to fill, but if it’s not working, you need another option. the M890 #5 hybrid will be easier to hit and the loft should be right wear it needs to be to fill the gap between the Rescue and the 7 iron. You will have to figure out how long to make it if you decide to try it. The head weight is 8 grams lighter than the TS-2 6 iron, so you will need to make it longer in length, possible 1/2″ or so, but again, you will need to determine that since I do not know the club lengths of the 7 iron and the Rescue. You might consider the M890 graphite shaft to go along with it in the R, or even possibly the A flex. Your club head speed on the 6 iron is right on the line where you should be able to play either one. If you like a firmer feel, go with the R. If you like a softer feel, go with the A.
