Just a few seconds with a heat gun is all it takes.
Our Tape Stripper works very well on steel shafts. There is no problem using it on steel. I am always very cautious using it on graphite shafts. Especially graphite shafts with larger butt diameters. With the larger butt diameter shafts you want to make sure the edges of the Tape Stripper do not dig into the graphite shaft. You can bend the Tape Stripper a little to match the radius of the Tape Stripper to the radius of the shaft butt diameter. I always recommend keeping the Tape Stripper on the angle it is ground to keep from digging the leading edge into the shaft and damaging the material.
Thanks very much Jim,
What do you recommend for Old Tape removal on Graphite other than “Peel UM”, and I know some will heat the Graphite shaft up, prior to Peeling, but this can cause damage to the shaft in the “wrong hands”!
I personally have never damaged using your “good old” Tape Stripper.
