Since the current TE and DBM are almost perfect as CBs are concerned, could the future + models be Tour Cavities? Something to bridge current models and future TS4s?

First, I wouldn’t compare our designs to any others, but I understand what your asking. I would just say that the new version is a little different toe shape and a lower heel height. Very clean and it will be very evident it is a next generation TE. We will post some pictures when it is time to do so. We do have final full set, pre-productions samples on the way.

The new TE+ and DBM+ forged irons will look very much like the current cosmetically, but with what we would consider a modernized profile and specifications. They will be a Players Tour Cavity Back iron. They should fit nicely into the line-up with the TS4’s.

Please don’t jack the GW and PW more than 1 degree. I can mess with a 46* PW but when they go 44-45* it really messes the wedge gapping up. I can work with 22* 4 irons and 33* 7 irons. But 44* PW just causes issues.
The PW will be 44 deg. and the GW will be 48. Part of the reason for re-doing the TE and DBM model was to modernize the lofts progressions, without going too strong. I do understand what your saying. Generally a 48 Gap wedge leads to a 52 option and then the 56-58 option for the SW. I currently play the TS1’s with a 49.5 GW, then a 52 M-Series + and a 56 M-Series +. The new TS4 iron will be 45.5 in the PW and 50 in the GW, which is a little closer to what your asking.

When you say more modern profile do you mean something more angular like Srixon zx7?
@ Britt Lindsey: When you describe the new DBM+ forged irons as “Players Tour Cavity backs” are you teasing that they might have a higher C.G. than do the current DBM’s?” Unless I’m mistaken the current DBM’s have a C.G. height of .675″ (Jan 2021 catalog reference, code UAB–I think you recently said you play them yourself(?)), while a TS1 sports a C.G. height of .750.” Is this C.G…discrepancy…what you would consider the biggest difference between what you are calling a “Players Club, or would you consider the difference more related to the toe-heel M.O.I?
[Currently playing ProjectX steel 6.0 with DBM heads myself (I do have a #3 iron as well, though not yet put together. My thinking is play a #3 + #5 or a #4 + #6 on any given day, and depending on skill and confidence].
Thanks for clarification. I also wouldn’t compare as you have a superior product anyways. But now with this knowledge you make it even harder to decide what to do. Go with the new models or wait…..or get both and ask forgiveness later.
