In your catalog I have never seen a specification as to where the kick point is. Are all kick points in the same place on modern shafts?

Interesting question that has come up many times. First kick point and flex point are seen as the same by many, but actually are not exactly the same. The difference is how they are measured. However, the results are close to the same, just not exact. I won’t get into the differences in how they are measured, but to answer your question, generally speaking, the kick point is somewhere in an area approximately 2″ wide in the middle of the shaft. It’s effect on performance is highly over valued, but can paly a part in the overall performance. Low kick points will generally feel softer and might elevate trajectory a little. Higher kick points will generally feel stiffer and might keep trajectory lower. Overall flex and the entire flex profile are what influence trajectory the most.
